Just a few miles from Windymile Cabin, downriver of Goshen Pass (a well known whitewater destination), is the sleepy community of Rockbridge Baths.
From the Post office to Copper road, there is a wonderful boat run. Canoes, Kayaks, etc.
About 6 miles of water with 15 to 20 sets of class 1 and 2 rapids. ... a few class 3's.
The shuttle of 4.5 miles is on a scenic byway with one stop sign!
We're talkin' a lot of juice for just a little squeezin'!
This offers the cleanest water in VA, and has unbelievable Blue Ridge Mountain scenery with great fishing!
Put in at Rockbridge Baths post office (park on the street across from the post office).
Take-out at Copper Road (at the dead end, there is plenty of room). About 100 yards down river from the dead end, there is a cut in the bank for take-out.

Windymile Cabin is Awesome
First off, this will be the worst penmanship in this book!
We had a blast and our two pooches- Saget and Suds were in heaven.
They, really dug the cows although I don't think the feeling was mutual. They didn't even bark at the cows. I think they were totally intrigued, especially our black lab mix, SAGE. I think she thought they might be relatives from a faraway nation of giant labs.

The water fall at Laurel run is awesome, and extra easy to get to. Just a few minutes away.
